Details of voting in congressional and state primary elections:
Party affiliation is not required to vote in party primaries.
Candidates from all parties are listed on one ballot, but voters can only choose candidates from one political party. If you vote for more than one party, your ballot will be rejected.
The state of North Dakota does not have voter registration, therefore there is no registration deadline. Voters must reside in their voting precinct for 30 days and provide valid identification at the polls to be eligible to vote.
